CCTS works with IBM on Black Family Technology Awareness Week event

Black Family Technology Awareness Week is a public awareness campaign to communicate the value of technology and its importance in the education and career preparation of children. IBM is once again working with CCTS to host an event for high school students during this week’s Black Engineers Conference. On February 16, 2007, students from the Baltimore Freedom Academy will tour the exhibits, engage in a hands-on technology demonstration and have an opportunity to hear from local IBM managers on the importance of studying math and science and gaining technology proficiency in order to succeed in college or in a knowledge-based workplace.
