Gayle Carney, Executive Director

As the Executive Director at CCTS, Gayle draws on twenty years of experience in the field of technology. She likes to say she’s held every IT position there is, from help desk, to Chief Technology Officer at a large, national nonprofit, to directing the training for youth organizations opening technology labs across the country. However, it’s her previous life as a teacher that accounts for her proclivity for projects where individuals and organizations gain independence and confidence using new tools. She believes strongly in technology’s power to impact positive social change.

In her spare time—who are we kidding—EDs don’t have spare time. Let’s just say that between volunteer activities, family, friends of all descriptions, and an 80 yr old house in Northwest Baltimore, she keeps very busy.

Gayle holds a BS in Education from Boston University and a BS in Computer Systems Technology from Spring Garden College.
